Select – provides a clean, modern appearance obtained by selecting only boards with a limited variation in natural characteristics, whilst exposing the rich colours, tones and textures that distinguish the grain patterns of the timber. This grade limits the inclusion of many conspicuous natural features in your hardwood floors.

Standard – distinguished by the natural features of wood like gum veins, insect markings and knots, the standard grade gives timber floors a unique character. The colour, tone and texture of this type of hardwood flooring may vary slightly.

Coating – most of our hardwood floors have been finished with the German Klumpp and Treffert water base coating, which is recognised in our industry as a benchmark for both excellence and environmental awareness.

The German Klumpp UV coating does not contain any dangerous substances, preservatives or additives . It also does not contain any pesticides, fungicides, formaldehyde or asbestos.

A small selection of our hardwood floor products are coated with German Osmo Oil, which is an engineered finish made with plant oils and waxes. This remarkable finish offers excellent renew-ability with a unique lustrous finish. Instead of coating the hardwood floor with a film, as polyurethane does, these finishes penetrate into wood fibres and protect from within.
